Suncoast Beekeepers Association Monthly Meeting

  • Thursday, April 24, 2025
  • 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
  • New Gate School 5481 Communications Pkwy Lakewood Ranch

Our speaker will be Perla Vasquez who represents the USDA and will speak about programs and loans available to farmers. She will also discuss steps on applying for ELAP: The Emergency Assistance for Livestock, Honey Bees, and Farm-Raised Fish Program, administered by the Farm Service Agency (FSA), offers financial aid to producers who suffer losses from specific adverse conditions not covered by other USDA disaster assistance programs. This includes losses due to disease, certain adverse weather events, and other qualifying conditions affecting livestock, honey bees, and farm-raised fish. ELAP provides critical support to help producers recover and sustain their operations.
