Wild Apricot Privacy

The SBA website and membership management system is hosted by Wild Apricot. Wild Apricot is web-based software that automates and simplifies membership management and website management. In addition, Wild Apricot has built in security and data protection features to protect the data of our SBA members.

Personal Data

Communications

When you join SBA as a member, you will receive monthly emails via the email address you specified. At the bottom of each email you receive from SBA, you will find an "Unsubscribe" link to remove yourself from further communications of that kind. You may also unsubscribe at any time by going to your Profile.  

Media

If you upload images to the SBA website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website. We utilize your image for the purpose you uploaded it and not for any other reason. By uploading your image, you agree that you are the copyright owner and authorize SBA to use the image for the purpose you uploaded it.

Contact Forms

When you use any contact forms, we collect the information included in the form. Please do not provide any information such as password, or personally sensitive information.  Information you provide may be sent by SBA to a third party to respond to your message.  We will not use the information for any other reason.

Member Privacy Settings

When you become a member of SBA, the default setting is your membership information is visible to other members. Members can update their privacy settings by going to their Profile.

Buy Local Listing

When you join SBA, you have the option of listing your contact information and products and services on the Buy Local page which is visible to members and non-members. By providing this information, you agree to make this information public. You may update your personal information and remove any information you do not want displayed by going to your Profile. You may also update your products and services listing at any time by going to your Profile. You will also be prompted to update your products and services when you renew your membership each year.

Other 3rd Party Software

Wild Apricot is the host of the SBA website. Wild Apricot may use one or more software components from 3rd party manufacturers to build and operate this website.  We do not share your information with these manufacturers except where explicitly stated in this privacy policy.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on the SBA website may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if you visited the website where the content is stored. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content.
